Advised in connection with the investigation and prosecution of slip incidents for a major retailer which had far reaching implications for the management of slip risk across an estate of 430 stores and affecting 130,000 employees; successfully prevented any major change to policy.
Advised a major facilities management company following a death in custody at a police station. Advising in connection with the HSE and police investigations and the three week Coroners Inquest at which a favourable verdict, avoiding unlawful killing, was achieved.
Advised a leading construction company in connection with the HSE investigation and Inquest following the death of a child who was trapped by electric gates on one of their developments. Avoided any adverse verdict at the Inquest and prevented any further HSE investigation.
She is a keen and successful athlete, having raced for the England Women’s mountain team in the World Mountain Running Championships and represented Yorkshire at the national cross country championships (returning with the team gold in 2014).
