Sam has been a member of the Employment team for over six years and specialises in all aspects of non-contentious and contentious employment work, advising HR managers, in-house counsel, CEOs, boards of trustees and one of the largest trade union and professional bodies in the UK.


Sam has extensive experience of Tribunal cases, dealing with issues of unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE and whistleblowing. She has also been involved in the prosecution and defence of injunctive proceedings in the High Court to enforce post termination restrictive covenants.


Successfully defended a Premiership football club against claims of unfair dismissal and discrimination in which employment status was in dispute and the outcome could have impacted on the client’s engagement of several hundred casual workers. Obtained costs for a retail client against a claimant on the grounds that the claim was misconceived. Advised a major transport client on the application of TUPE in light of developments in the case law on service provision change.


Sam enjoys travelling, skiing and socialising. She also enjoys taking part in military fitness sessions.
